International  Missions

Untitled-4    Hearts of the Father Ministries
John & Libby Mortiz were long-time members of the House of Praise. After the tragic loss of their own children, they felt God turn their hearts towards caring for the unwanted children of the world.  They began loving homes for orphans, in Ghana and India.  They now have a program similar to U.S. foster care in Africa to expand the number of orphans they can care for.

The House of Praise also believes in supporting like-minded church plants.
We have supportive relationships with the following churches:

Bridge Community Church

Bridge Community
Pastor Bob Hulett Jr. is was a staff pastor at House of Praise for several years.  He and his wife Stephanie planted a new church plant in Cape Coral Florida.   This is a like-minded church focused on making disciples for Jesus.

City Church Albany
Pastors Mike Moore served as Youth Pastor at House of Praise for 18 months before planting City Church with a group of friends from Texas.  His wife Kristi grew up at House of Praise and was a part of the worship team.  City Church exists to lead people who are far from God into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

New Horizons Christian Church
Pastor David Traynham was ordained into the ministry at the House of Praise in 1990 and along with his wife Brenda, founded New Horizons Christian Church shortly after.  This was the first official church plant from the House of Praise. The Trayhams have a heart for the inner city and racial reconciliation.  Pastor David is currently serving as the Albany director of the NAACP.

Victory Christian Church
Pastors Charlie and Tammy Muller were part of the House of Praise for many years. Pastor Charlie felt a burden to reach inner-city Albany with the Gospel of Jesus and Victory Church was born.  Their missions statement is to ‘change one life at a time.’ With amazing outreaches such as the JC Feeding Clubs and the Gun Buy Back program they truly are.
